Senator John Fetterman hospitalized after feeling dizzy

US Senator John Fetterman, the Pennsylvania Democrat who suffered a stroke while campaigning last year, was hospitalized on Wednesday night after feeling dizzy while attending a Democratic retreat from the Senate, said pointed to his office.

Initial tests at George Washington University Hospital showed no evidence of a new stroke, Fetterman communications director Joe Calvello said in a statement late Wednesday. Doctors were performing more tests and the senator remained in the hospital for observation, the statement said.

“He is in good spirits and talking with his staff and family. We will provide more information when we have it,” Calvello said.
