Russian-Ukrainian war: Russia takes turns at the head of the UN Security Council

Russia has assumed the presidency of the UN Security Council, in a routine annual cycle denounced by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. He noted that Russia was launching hundreds of strikes against his country while taking the helm of the council. The United States said there was no legal mechanism to change Moscow’s status at the United Nations.
