MASSAWA (Sputnik) – Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Friday that Western media had distorted the facts during coverage of his tour of sub-Saharan Africa.
“In South Africa, Angola and Eswatini, there were media representatives who blatantly represented Western information interests,” Lavrov told reporters after talks in Eritrea.
“There have been attempts to cover our visits in a twisted, distorted way, rendering the image that the American and European media are trying to portray.”
This week, Lavrov traveled to South Africa, Eswatini and Angola as part of his tour through sub-Saharan Africa, with Eritrea being the final destination of the minister’s tour.
