Rose McGowan slammed Oprah Winfrey in a new tweet claiming the talk show queen is “as fake as it gets”.
The “Charmed” alum wrote how happy she is that people “see the horrible truth” about the billionaire media personality regarding her former friendship with convicted rapist Harvey Weinstein.
McGowan also referred to how Winfrey was linked to director / record producer Russell Simmons, who is battling multiple allegations of rape and sexual misconduct.
“She is about to support a sick power structure for personal gain, she is as bogus as it gets,” the activist wrote.

In early 2020, Winfrey stepped down as executive producer of Simmons’ documentary #MeToo because she felt “there is more work to be done on the film to shed light on the full extent of what the victims are. have endured, and it has become clear that the filmmakers and I am not aligned with this creative vision. “
Winfrey said in a statement to the Hollywood Reporter at the time, “I want it to be known that I unequivocally believe and support women. Their stories are worth telling and hearing.”
McGowan and Winfrey also clash over the Time’s Up movement. While the Emmy-winning host supports the organization and reportedly donated $ 500,000 to tackle sexual harassment in the workplace, McGowan often expresses her belief that it is based on lies.
In early August, McGowan spoke out against Time’s Up CEO and President Tina Tchen after it was reported that she had given advice to former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo in connection with her investigation on sexual harassment.

In New York Attorney General Letitia James’ report, he said Tchen allegedly consulted on the drafting of a letter issued by Cuomo’s advisers that denied the legitimacy of the allegations made by his first accuser and former aide Lindsey Boylan.
Tchen denied his involvement, but then resigned from Time’s Up and Cuomo stepped down as governor.
“Remember when Hollywood actresses and paid activists wore silly black dresses to the Oscars? It was sponsored by Times Up which was supposed to help victims of abuse. I told the world they were lying there over 3 years ago, ”McGowan’s statement begins.

“I have been mocked and harassed by so many people who want to believe in the illusion. Wake up. Hard truths are awkward and uncomfortable. So suck it up,” she said.
McGowan also slammed Cuomo in a video she posted on Twitter, calling him an “asshole” and asking him to “come home”. She also publicly supported Biden’s accuser Tara Reade.
A representative for Winfrey did not immediately return Fox News’ request for comment.
