Richarlison apologizes to Gabriel Martinelli but Tottenham star slams Arsenal striker for ‘diving a lot’

The Tottenham striker appeared to ignore his Arsenal counterpart when Martinelli – who is about to take a corner – reached out to Richarlison before he was named as a late substitute.
Although the North London derby has largely favored the home side in recent years, Spurs fell behind in gentle fashion during a poor first half.
An own goal from Hugo Lloris and Martin Odegaard gave Mikel Arteta’s side what turned out to be a routine victory even despite Spurs’ slightly improved performance after the break.
“I would like to apologize to Martinelli,” Richarlison told ESPN.
“I told him he was diving a lot, so I didn’t shake his hand.
“Also, with Gabriel Magalhaes, I told him they stop playing all the time. I just said, ‘let’s play’.”
Arsenal are now eight points clear at the top of the Premier League while Antonio Conte must fight to finish in the top four.
The match was marred by ugly scenes after the full-time whistle as a Tottenham fan appeared to send off Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale.
