Richard Garlick is due to leave the Premier League and join Arsenal as director of football operations.
Garlick is currently Premier League director of football but will be leaving to take on his new role in the Emirates in the coming months.
The qualified lawyer, specializing in sports law, was previously director of football at West Brom before joining the Premier League in 2018.
“Richard Garlick is joining Arsenal as director of football operations,” a club statement read.
Richard, who is currently Premier League Director of Football and previously was Director of Football Administration at West Bromwich Albion, will join the club in the coming months.
“He will be a member of Arsenal’s management team and will work closely with technical director Edu, director Mikel Arteta and academy director Per Mertesacker.
“His responsibilities will include football operations in the first team and the academy, managing player contracts and dealing with football governing bodies.
“Richard, a qualified sports lawyer, has been in the Premier League since 2018. He was previously at West Bromwich Albion for eight years.”
