Raquel Leviss seen for the first time since podcast bombshell Bethenny Frankel

Raquel Leviss is back.

The “Vanderpump Rules” star made her first appearance at a Hollywood event following her explosive interview on Bethenny Frankel’s podcast in August.

Leviss, 29, attended Frankel’s recent star-studded gathering at the Bel-Air Hotel and can be seen smiling broadly in a photo shared by the “Real Housewives of New York City” alum on Wednesday.

The former SUR employee, who wore a chic white blazer and shorts, was surrounded by former “Beverly Hills, 90210” co-stars Jennie Garth and Tiffani Thiessen, as well as reality TV stars NeNe Leakes, Larsa Pippen, Cheryl Burke, Amanza Smith and more.

“Dinner JUST because…” Frankel, 52, captioned the post. “Thank you for a lovely night ladies…I’m still cleaning up all the spilled tea.”

The Bravo star was joined by Jennie Garth, Tiffani Thiessen, NeNe Leakes, Larsa Pippen, Cheryl Burke, Amanza Smith and more.

While Frankel was thrilled to have so many accomplished women in her presence, fans made no secret of the post’s comments section in venting their disappointment at seeing Leviss — who recently started going by her name of Rachel’s birth – included.

“I don’t know why you’re giving Rachel a platform. She was a victim of Tom, BUT she participated in Ariana’s crushing. She’s not innocent,” criticized one user.

The former “Real Housewives of New York City” star shared a photo from the gathering on Instagram and fans slammed her for inviting Leviss.

“I wonder if half of these women who support Rachel would be as understanding and kind if she was their best friend who slept with their partner for months,” asked another.

“So many icons. Yet “one of these things….. One of these THINGS DOESN’T BELONG” Rachel. Rachel has no place!!!! » added an emotional commentator.

Leviss and the Skinnygirl creator became acquainted over the summer after the former opened up about her shocking affair with Tom Sandoval, who at the time was dating their co-star and one of Leviss’s close friends, Ariana Madix, on iHeart Radio’s “Just B.” with Bethenny Frankel.

Leviss and Frankel both received backlash for discussing the former SUR employee’s affair with Tom Sandoval on the August 16 podcast.
Leviss admitted that she “wasn’t thinking long term” when she started seeing Sandoval romantically, who had been with their co-star Ariana Madix for nine years at the time.

“I wasn’t careful with my actions and I wasn’t thinking long term,” she admitted at the time.

“I was completely overwhelmed by grief and wanted to meet some needs. Looking back now, I can see that I was still healing from a relationship with someone I thought I would marry. And finally, I’m still not cured.

Leviss was speaking out about her failed engagement to James Kennedy, from whom she split in December 2021 after five years together.

Leviss and Sandoval have since separated.

Although she took responsibility for her actions, fans weren’t happy when she compared herself to a “punching bag” once news of the affair broke and claimed she didn’t had not “seen a cent” of the scandal while Sandoval, 41, had done so.

“To me it’s kind of disgusting because…it makes me skeptical…was this really just something that was manufactured for this end result?” she questioned.

Meanwhile, Frankel was criticized by “Vanderpump Rules” star Lala Kent for taking advantage of the scandal for her own gain.

The Bravolebirites both responded to the hate they received during their interview.

“I’m happy that (Raquel) finally got a giant platform to tell her story,” Kent, 32, said on her podcast “Give Them Lala.”

“I’ve only seen clips. And what I deduced is that Bethenny completely exploited this girl again.

While the bestselling author brushed off the backlash she received from Kent and “Vanderump Rules” fans, Leviss welcomed it while continuing to defend herself.

Frankel dismissed the criticism while Leviss once again said she knew she was wrong, but also said she was coached by Sandoval and thought he was breaking up with Madix.

“I should have had more respect for myself than that and I should have respected the relationship that Ariana had with Tom. No excuses,” she said after Jared B of the Bravo Tea with podcast Jared B” denounced his actions and the justification for the affair.

“However, looking back, I see that I had low self-esteem and Tom kept telling me that he was actively breaking up with her ‘amicably’ for her ‘mental health,’ which I can now see was magical thinking,” she added.

“There were a thousand and one reasons why they hadn’t broken up yet and it was easier to stay in that fantasy than (sic) to face the fact that the social anxiety and isolation weren’t worth it. penalty.”
