Face-to-face hearing Wednesday
On Wednesday February 16, the Queen met the new Defense Services Secretary, Major General Eldon Millar, and his predecessor Rear Admiral James Macleod, at Windsor Castle.
During the engagement, she used a cane and said she ‘couldn’t move’ well – although it is believed she felt a little stiff, rather than injured or sick.
During the hearing, she was heard saying happily, “I’m here!
“I thought you might have been in there for ages. Hello.”
When asked how she was, the Queen, pointing to her left leg or foot, replied, “Well, as you can see, I can’t move.”
The trio then discussed Monarch Candy’s dorgi, with the military man saying, “I notice Candy keeping guard.
“As we walked down the hall, she wasn’t going to let us get near you.”
Major-General Millar added: “She let out a little grunt as we entered.”
The Queen said, “Oh, really? She doesn’t growl normally.”
“She can obviously see right through us,” joked Rear Admiral McLeod.
