The Zambia international completed her first professional stint in hosting the Kazakhstan Women’s Championship
The Kazakh BIIK Women’s Championship team Kazygurt has secured the services of Prisca Chilufya from Red Arrows.
BIIK signed the 25-year-old from the Zambian club, on a two-year contract, after completing a brief try with the Kazakh champions.
This will end the Zambia international’s journey with the Zambian Women’s Premier League team as she seeks to join the growing list of professionals abroad with the Kazakh side.
Internationally, Chilufya has been a regular feature of Cote d’Ivoire since 2018 as she competed in the country’s Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Ghana and qualified for the Tokyo Olympics. .
His arrival will strengthen the offensive line of Kaloyan Petkov’s side ahead of the new season and the round of 16 of the 2020-21 Champions League with German champions Bayern Munich.
Upon her return to BIIK, she appeared in some preseason games, including a recent 2-1 victory over Russian team Zvezda-2005.
With her arrival, the 21-year-old hopes to settle down immediately by teaming up with fellow Zambian Racheal Kundananji.
It also swells the number of African stars to get involved in the elite competition of European women’s clubs, after Kundananji, Asisat Oshoala, Ajara Nchout, Rasheedat Ajibade and Abigail Kim.
Chilufya will be hoping to hit the floor on his debut for BIIK in the round of 16 with Bayern Munich next month.
