Police search for man in community custody who cut ankle monitor

ALBUQUERQUE, NM (KRQE) – Police are looking for a man with a history dating back more than a decade. According to police, on May 20, Joe Cordova got into an argument with his girlfriend, cut off his ankle monitor and left.

The police have not been able to find him since. Cordova was on the community child care program at the time and faces new charges. In January, Cordova was arrested for stealing more than $ 500 from Lowes. His case dates back to 2005, and he has been charged with shoplifting several other times over the years.
