Kerrville, Texas — Authorities in Texas arrested a male accused of plotting to have out a mass shooting at a Walmart, and a research of the suspect’s dwelling turned up firearms, ammunition and elements officials described as “radical ideology paraphernalia.”
Coleman Thomas Blevins, 28, was arrested Friday in Kerrville and has been billed with creating a “terroristic menace to make public fear of serious bodily damage,” the Kerr County Sheriff’s Place of work reported in a news release Sunday.
Investigators stated they intercepted a concept from Blevins on Thursday indicating he was “planning to progress with a mass shooting,” and that the risk included Walmart. Blevins was taken into custody the following day.
The Texas Section of General public Basic safety, U.S. Magic formula Service, FBI and Kerrville Police Department all assisted in the operation, studies CBS San Antonio affiliate KENS-Television set.
Authorities searched his home and, in accordance to the launch, “firearms, ammunition, digital proof, concentrated THC, and radical ideology paraphernalia, such as textbooks, flags, and handwritten documents ended up seized.”
Blevins is on felony probation and wasn’t supposed to have guns, the release reported.
He was booked into the Kerr County Jail in Kerrville, a town about 70 miles northwest of San Antonio.

Kerr County Sheriff Larry Leitha instructed KENS the case “reminds us that we need to generally be vigilant. Numerous believe ‘that are unable to happen here’, and it was well on the way to happening.
“Our investigators did superb get the job done in this scenario, and quite possibly saved quite a few lives. The plot interrupted in this case is unthinkable. We respect the support of all our regulation enforcement companions.”
