This is the second Thanksgiving holiday for the Covid-19 pandemic, but it is the first since vaccines became available to the public.

This is one of the reasons why experts predict crowded vacation trips that look more like 2019 than 2020.

Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, held annually in New York City, was also more like its old self, with people lining the streets of Manhattan to watch. Last year the parade was reserved for a televised crowd and the route was shortened.
