Brilliant price too good for the king

Before last year, Price had never made it past the second round at Alexandra Palace, but having reached the semi-final at that point, his hopes of going even further remain intact as he was booking a last date with Daryl Gurney.

King stopped a four-innings run from Price en route to take the second set in a decisive, but Iceman increased the bet again. An 11-dart leg was the highlight as he claimed three of the next four to go a clear set again, taking the set against the darts.

Showing off the winning mentality that has been forged over the past three years, Price was forced to dig deep in a crucial third set. The world No.3 hit back 2-1 to take a straight-set advantage when he cleared 93 to maintain a remarkable finishing display that saw him hitting 11 of his 17 double darts.

Leading 1-0 in the fifth, Price’s mastery in the outside ring gave him up as he missed five to give King a chance to level – but that only delayed the outcome.

Price pulled out a stunning 115 to hold onto one leg and sealed his quarterfinal spot when King missed three darts and the Iceman remained calm to pin his favorite double top for an impressive win.

Gerwyn Price felt he played quite “uneven” against Mervyn King but picked up a 4-1 victory to react in the quarter-finals.

Duzza was hoping to follow Phil Taylor, Dennis Priestley and Raymond van Barneveld in adding the PDC crown to the BDO title, but, having forged a 3-1 lead, he was helpless as Van Duijvenbode came back strong to win a shootout in the final match. . and a clash with Gary Anderson in the last eight.

As good as his great finishes were as the match progressed, Van Duijvenbode struggled in the outside ring early on. Thirteen darts missed in the double had left the 29-year-old eggplant farmer down 2-0 and shrugged as Durrant made a distinguished clinical start to challenge a 10 point difference in averages.

A brilliant 154 finish was the highlight for the Premier League champion who reached the quarter-final on his debut at Alexandra Palace last year, but the Dutchman himself is an emerging force after a brilliant year.

The Iceman’s brilliant 148 was one of three 100+ finishes as he secured a place in the bottom eight at Alexandra Palace.

It started with him getting his Tour Card in January and most recently reaching the World Grand Prix Final, where he beat Anderson in the quarterfinals, and the last eight of the Players Championship Finals.

Back-to-back 11-dart legs halved the deficit only for Durrant to hit back and punish every mistake to move 3-1 ahead, but the big finishes got Van Duijvenbode back into the game.

A classy 119 started things off and having missed chances before he was able to close the set; adding a 106 finish and a spectacular second double-double on the 18 to reduce the deficit to one.

A brilliant sixth set, which included a spectacular 170 arrival from the Dutchman, ensured a level contest and it was fitting that the game went the distance where Van Duijvenbode, the only unranked player in the draw, qualified for the quarterfinals when he pinned double six.

Van den Bergh is a man on the right track after winning World Matchplay in July, but after reflecting the calm thanks to the sport’s resumption, the Belgian had a first mountain to climb.

A relentless Chisnall opened up a 2-0 lead on the back of a dazzling score and even better finishing. Van den Bergh was able to tie Chizzy in the score but missed the doubles darts trailing 2-1 in each of the first two sets.

Dave Chisnall scores a 102 to beat Dimitri Van den Bergh 4-2 to reach the quarter-finals of the World Championship.

Chisnall was almost flawless, hitting six of his seven darts in the outside ring for an average of 110 and falling halfway to the four-set winning post.

But showing the class of the grand champion he has become, consecutive 12-dart innings gave Van den Bergh the lead in the third set. Chisnall remarkably hit back to win a breakthrough, but only after The Dreammaker missed a dart to the target for a 161 finish that would have halved the deficit.

Dave Chisnall checked out 144 to win the first set against Dimitri Van den Bergh in the World Darts Championship.

Needing to win four sets to keep his world championship dream alive, Van den Bergh started off in spectacular fashion, pushing his count from 180 to nine, he only needed 39 darts to win the fourth set and he had added the fifth when Chizzy missed a dart to force a decisive leg.

As nerves began to unravel, the sixth set delivered a dip in the scoring, but no small drama as the missed doubles begged the two until Chisnall kept his cool to take out 102 and seal an appointment with MvG.
