Pakistani court bans police from arresting several TV presenters

ISLAMABAD — A court in the Pakistani capital on Monday ordered police not to arrest several journalists without their permission, days after complaints were filed accusing TV presenters of inciting hatred against the military.

The order by Athar Minallah, Chief Justice of the High Court in Islamabad, followed petitions by journalists Arshad Sharif, Sami Abrahim and Moeed Pirzada, known critics of the military and fearing arrest.
