Overnight Olympics schedule: Watch freestyle skiing and figure skating

U.S. television coverage of the 2022 Winter Games continues on Friday with medals in freestyle skiing, speed skating and biathlon, as well as the start of pair figure skating competition. All times are Eastern.

FREESTYLE SKIING Canada’s Brady Leman will defend his 2018 Olympic title in the men’s ski cross competition, which airs on the NBC Olympic Channel at 1 a.m. After the first round, the quarter-finals will air at 1:35 a.m., the semi-finals at 1:54 a.m. and the finals at 2:10 a.m.

FIGURE SKATING The pairs figure skating competition begins at 5:30 a.m. with the short program and will air on NBC Olympic Channel and USA Network. The favorites are Chinese Sui Wenjing and Han Cong, the 2018 Olympics silver medalists, who missed gold by just 0.43 points. Also skating are two American duos: Alexa Knierim and Brandon Frazier, and Ashley Cain-Gribble and Timothy LeDuc.

SPEED SKATING The men’s 1,000 meter final will air at 3:30 a.m. on NBC Olympic Channel and 4 a.m. on USA Network. Thomas Krol of the Netherlands, who was edged out by a teammate in the 1,500 meter race, will seek a gold medal here against Ning Zhongyan of China. The American competitors are Austin Kleba and Jordan Stolz.

BIATHLON The women’s 12.5 kilometer mass start will air at 2 a.m. on NBC Olympic Channel and 4:45 a.m. on USA Network, and the men’s 15 kilometer mass start will air at 4 a.m. on NBC Olympic Channel. Deedra Irwin, on the women’s side, will be the only American competing.
