Trent Alexander-Arnold officially ended English football with Liverpool’s FA Cup triumph over Chelsea.
The 23-year-old successfully converted in the 6-5 penalty shoot-out win over the Blues to claim the last missing trophy from his domestic football set.
Only Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo was younger when he had a full house of trophies at his disposal in England during his first spell at Old Trafford.
And according to former Chelsea player Andy Townsend, Alexander-Arnold was the best player on the pitch as the goalless draw with the Blues went to extra time and then a penalty shootout.
Townsend told talkSPORT: “He was the best player on the pitch today. There was a lot of quality but he was a class above.
Alexander-Arnold’s collection already included a Premier League title, League Cup, Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup.
With the League Cup already tied this season, Liverpool are still in contention for an emphatic quadruple this term, something addressed in February highlighting that the winning mentality at the club has made them a threat in all competitions.
He said: “Certainly on all four fronts, it’s easier to have so many great players in the squad.
