A 35-year-old Eau du Ponant agent was seriously injured in a collision on Friday, around 3 p.m., on the D712, near Kerhamon, in Plouédern (29). His utility was going down a perpendicular lane to enter the departmental road when a van arrived from La Roche-Maurice.
The driver of the van, a man in his forties, comes out with minor injuries. Concerns prevail, on the other hand, with regard to the employee of Eau du Ponant. Unconscious when the firefighters extricated him, he was once again transported in the Smur vehicle. His transport to the Cavale Blanche emergency room in Brest was to follow.
Led by Lieutenant Stéphane Ropars (CIS de Brest), as group leader, firefighters from Landerneau and Brest took part in the rescue. The gendarmerie and road agents intervened to supervise the operation, while the departmental was cut in both directions (this was always the case at 4 p.m.).
Fatal accident at the same location
A couple of local residents also spontaneously took part in regulating the traffic that came from Landerneau. For more than thirty minutes, receiving as a reward for their efforts a few shouts from users visibly upset by this slight setback.
This crossroads, with thwarted visibility, turns out to be accident-prone. A 23-year-old biker was killed in the same spot in another collision in July 2019.
