RICKY HATTON shared a photo of himself and Tyson Fury when they were both “not in the best places”.
The British boxing legend uploaded a photo from 2017 posing with Fury, who had a beer in his hand.
Hatton captioned it: “Five years ago. Tyson Fury in Manchester. Not in the best places then. Look at us now.”
Fury had been out of the ring for two years at that time, having descended into depression after beating Wladimir Klitschko.
It swelled as much as TEN PETER in weight before embarking on one of the sport’s biggest comeback journeys.
Fury actually used Hatton’s gymnasium in Manchester during the period and returned to the ring in 2018.
Hatton even cornered it the night he tied Wilder in a world title challenge, which happened the same year he returned to the ring.
In 2020, Fury, 34, knocked out American rival Wilder, 36, in their rematch to become heavyweight champion once again.
Now Hatton, 43, is on his own comeback trail with a scheduled exhibition fight against Marco Antonio Barrera, 48, scheduled for November.
The former two-weight champion found himself in sensational shape after a dramatic body transformation.

Hatton was scheduled to face the Mexican icon in July until it was called off.
Now, it has been rescheduled for November 12 with Natasha Jonas unifying her light middleweight titles with Marie-Eve Dicaire.
It will be Hatton’s first fight since 2012, when he lost to Vyacheslav Senchenko, triggering his retirement from boxing.
