Nissan presents the Z GT4 at SEMA

SEMA news comes relentlessly. Add Nissan to the number of brands that unveiled a new trend in Las Vegas.

The Nissan Z GT4 was actually originally shown in September in NISMO guise before showing up in the desert with a different livery. In a nod to the company’s racing past, the hood is marked with the number 23 (no relation to the forgettable Jim Carrey movie, we hope) inside a ‘rising sun circle’ . Other badges nod to the past as well, and the black and red paint job is pure NISMO.

It’s not just a show car – Nissan will be taking this Z race to the United States, in the SRO Pirelli GT4 America series. The company will also participate in the Super Taikyu series in Japan.

The cars will be provided to “pilot customer teams” for the price of $229,000, excluding shipping, with NISMO providing technical support.

The cars are expected to be available to race in 2024, with orders opening in the middle of next year.

“The SEMA Show is a great place to showcase our Z GT4 to racers, enthusiasts and the entire industry,” said Michael Carcamo, Global Program Manager, Sports Cars, Nissan Motor Co. Ltd, in a statement. “We are preparing for the 2023 racing season – testing here locally last weekend – and we look forward to continuing to talk with the teams and continuing to establish the Z as a force to be reckoned with. tracks around the world. ”

Some quick specs – this Z weighs around 3,100 pounds and has 450 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque.

Keep an eye out for this Z at a track near you.
