Nine injured at South Carolina club in state’s second mass shooting in two days

Nine people were injured in a shooting at a South Carolina club on Sunday morning, according to reports.

State officials said The Associated Press that he was investigating the incident and that no one had been killed so far, although he gave no information on the severity of the injuries.

The state Law Enforcement Division (SLED) said it was asked to investigate by the Hampton County Sheriff’s Office, about 80 miles west of Charleston, the largest state city.

It comes just a day after 14 people were injured in a mass shooting at a mall in Columbia, South Carolina, with nine bullets and five others injured in a panic as shoppers fled the violence.

Columbia Police Chief William Holbrook said authorities believe the shooting was “not a random act of violence” but sparked by “some kind of conflict” between armed people who knew each other.

Police have arrested Jewayne M Price, 22, on charges of illegally carrying a pistol, with other possible charges.
