The Covid-19 pandemic continues to progress in the United Kingdom. According to a latest report from the British government published Tuesday, December 29, 53,135 additional cases were identified in twenty-four hours, which is a record.

Recorded despite the re-containment of a large part of the UK’s population in recent days, this increase brings the total number of cases recorded to 2,382,865 since the start of the pandemic, of which 71,567 have been fatal (+ 414 reported Tuesday).
