New entire body-digicam footage introduced Thursday reveals a former member of the New York Metropolis Police Division attacking a law enforcement officer in Washington, DC, through the January 6 Capitol insurrection.
The footage, attained by CNN, reveals Thomas Webster wielding a flag pole though assaulting law enforcement, eventually charging at and tackling an officer to the ground. Webster is a retired NYPD police officer and a previous Maritime.
He was charged in February with a number of counts, which include employing a flag pole to assault a law enforcement officer, Insider’s Charles Davis documented. He has pleaded not responsible to all prices. The online video captures what was explained in the felony complaint. It exhibits Webster, who is sporting a red jacket, berating an officer and contacting them a “piece of shit” and a “commie.”
