Mums say George Soros foundation using term ‘giving birth to people’ is ‘dehumanizing’: ‘woke implosive madness’

Some county activist moms are angered by the term “people giving birth” used by left-leaning entities such as George Soros’ Open Society Foundations.

“It’s all part of an ideology that is truly totalitarian and authoritarian in nature,” said a mother from Rhode Island named Nicole Solas. “And that’s exactly what we’re seeing with these radical gender identity cultists.”

Soros’ organization posted a message on Twitter and LinkedIn advocating for abortion. Open Society said, “For black women and people giving birth, the fight for reproductive rights is more than abortion rights.” The term gender neutral is used by some on the left to include the LGBTQIA+ community, and is becoming increasingly common. A Fox News report found that “woke liberals” are increasingly using the term.

For example, the National Education Association proposed a resolution to replace the words “mother” and “father” with “biological parent” and “non-biological parent”; and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez also used the term “biological parent” as well as “menstruating person.”

“‘Birthing person’ is an absurd and downright insulting term that the radical left uses to sever a mother’s relationship with her child,” said Elana Fishbein of No Left Turn in Education.

“I’m not a birthing person, I’m a mother,” Shukri Abdirahman, a Somali immigrant and former challenger to Rep. Ilhan Omar, told Fox News Digital. She also called the expression “madness.”

Wenyuan Wu, executive director of the Californians For Equal Rights Foundation, said the term “giving birth to people” was “dehumanizing” to women.

“It’s dehumanizing. It decenters my central identity as a mother in the name of fairness, in the name of coddling a fragile mentality of not offending anyone. But it’s offensive to me as a mother,” said Wu. “It’s really a very dystopian Orwellian concept that basically exposes the imploding madness of woke ideology.”

“Kids don’t think in terms of ‘giving birth to people,'” Nicole Neily of Parents Defending Education said. “They think about mom and dad. If anything, [this] is a war on childhood innocence.”

Solas said: “There is no reason to designate women as people who give birth unless you seek to dehumanize them and strip them of their dignity. And that’s exactly what this label does. When you call a woman… a person giving birth, you force people to see them through the prism of their reproductive value. This is exactly the sexual objectification that the women’s rights movement was fighting against.

The George Soros Foundation also included a video of one of its grantees discussing “intersectionality” in its posts.

The moms told Fox News Digital that the term is regressive in defining a woman on her ability to conceive a child.

“The person giving birth only recognizes the act of giving birth to a child,” Fishbein said.

Other terms the left used included “people with wombs” and “breastfeeding” instead of breastfeeding.

“It’s disgusting. You don’t have to have a womb to be a mother. There are people who adopt. There are people who adopt children. There are people who are like mothers to children. So, again, we are reducing all senses of femininity. [to] bring a mother back to sexual characteristics. And that will never, ever get us to a good place,” Solas said.
