A mum has tragically died in a house fire after saving the life of her 12-year-old son in the blaze.
Firefighters battled the blaze for several hours, but family members were devastated after Brittany Jones, 35, was later discovered inside the home.

According to the Daily Sentinel, Brittany shared the Camden, New York home with her husband Aaron and their 12-year-old son, Anthony.
Although the couple’s son was able to escape hell, his mother tragically failed to make it out.
Family members told CNY Central they gathered outside the house on Monday as it caught fire, hoping to see Brittany appear.
“You cling to this hope that she’s okay, because no one wanted to think she wasn’t okay,” said Kayla Svereika, Brittany’s sister-in-law.
However, a first responder said Brittany was unable to escape the fire – but instead spent her final moments making sure her son was out of the house.
“She was a force to be reckoned with, in everything she did,” Svereiki added.
“She didn’t do something halfway, she did it all the way.”
A GoFundMe page created by family members paid tribute to the mum, saying she “will never be replaced”.
Aaron’s brother wrote: “My brother lost his wife. My nephew lost his mother. She saved her son’s life and made sure he got out of the house.

“Money is the last thing on their minds now. But they’ve lost everything. All they have is the clothes they wear.”
In a statement, the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office said deputies and the Camden Police Department responded to the fire around 9:45 p.m. Monday night.
They said: “Deputies and village police arrived about three minutes after hearing the call and the house was completely engulfed.
“When they arrived, they learned that one of the occupants might still be in the house.
“Firefighters later discovered a victim believed to be an occupant of the home.”
Authorities said sheriff’s investigators, members of the Sheriff’s Identification Unit and New York State fire investigators are currently working to identify the cause of the fire, which “does not appear suspicious”.
