Darren Bent has said he will have Mohamed Salah on the wing against “anyone else in the Premier League” after his Champions League exploits against AC Milan on Wednesday night.
The Egyptian scored the second of Liverpool’s three goals, starting the comeback which saw them win 3-2, despite losing 2-1.
It was Salah’s fourth goal in five games this season and former Premier League forward Bent insists he would choose him over anyone else in the division.
Bent told talkSPORT: “He’s still amazing, Salah.”
And when asked if he could only have one Salah or Grealish, Bent replied, “Salah, every day.
“Every day all day. I would have Salah right, maybe even left, over anyone else in the Premier League.
There was also a debate between Bent and Andy Goldstein over whether Salah would be part of Bent’s all-time Liverpool XI, after a conversation on Sky Sports on Monday night.
Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher said in ‘Monday Night Football’: “I’m going to say something else. When you pick your Liverpool XI of all time, there are positions where you just think, ‘He’s in.”
“Alan Hansen, Graeme Souness, John Barnes, Steven Gerrard, Ian Rush and Kenny Dalglish. You could fill all of these positions, no matter what this team does.
“There is nobody you think of on the right. Mo Salah will be in that position at the end of his career at Liverpool. He will be in this Liverpool XI of all time. I have no doubt about it.”
When asked if he would also put Salah in his all-time Liverpool XI, Bent said: “Definitely in my day I was watching, yeah, 100%.
“But I haven’t seen people like [Kenny] Dalglish because obviously I understand that.
