Minnesota’s Best Buy store raided by 20-30 suspects;  everything runs away, report says


A flash mob of 20 to 30 suspected looters hit a Best Buy electronics store in Minnesota on Black Friday and managed to escape before police arrived, according to a report.

The incident happened around 8 p.m. at a Best Buy store near the Burnsville Center mall in Burnsville, a suburb south of Minneapolis, according to WCCO-TV reporter Nick Streiff. wrote in a Twitter post.

It was not immediately clear how much goods were taken, police said, according to the publication.

No weapons were reportedly involved in the incident.

Large retailers in cities and metropolitan areas across the United States have witnessed plenty of flash mob-style thefts in recent weeks.

Los Angeles Police Chief Michel Moore said on Tuesday that the city’s police commission was planning to step up the police presence in response to several of the incidents there, FOX 11 from Los Angeles reported.
