The 35-year-old appeared to admit to sending sexually explicit messages to someone he believed to be a 13-year-old boy
Meta’s director of community development, Jeren Miles, has been removed from his post, a spokesperson for the social media giant told the Daily Caller on Thursday, after video of Miles being questioned by members of ‘Predator Catchers Indianapolis’ went viral.
Miles, who is 35, is seen on video and appears to admit to sending several sexually explicit messages to an individual he believed to be a 13-year-old boy, even planning to meet the teenager at a hotel. “The seriousness of these allegations cannot be overstated.“said the spokesperson.
While Miles first said “predator catchers” he was just “flirting” and “while speaking“to ‘Cory’, the non-existent boy, insisting he hadn’t”intend to meet him“, he later admits that he”gave information” and “a locationfor the encounter – the Le Meridien Columbus hotel in Ohio, where the architects of the sting interviewed him.

Clips of the full two-hour video of Miles being interviewed by amateur predator hunters quickly went viral on social media. The former Meta executive has since deleted his profile pages on LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.
While he repeatedly tells his interviewers that he’s never felt attracted to young boys and says that’s the “once i did that‘, they accuse him of blatantly grooming the imaginary 13-year-old boy as they read Miles’ messages back to him in the hotel room.
“I’ll have no restraint around you if I’m excitedone of the messages Miles admits to sending reads. When the Predator Hunters confront him in his own words, he insists it was just a flirt.
“Predator catcher” Eric Schmutte, who filmed the encounter, reportedly told reporter Andy Ngo that he was sending all chat logs and other evidence related to the incident to authorities in Columbus and Palm Springs, Calif. – Miles’ hometown.
