Around 70 aircraft will take part in the Platinum Jubilee flypast
A six-minute flypast of more than 70 aircraft will complete the Queen’s Birthday Parade as part of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
Dozens of Royal Navy, Army and Royal Air Force planes will fly over Buckingham Palace on Thursday June 2, the Ministry of Defense (MoD) has announced.
The Queen is expected to watch the flypast from the palace balcony with other members of the Royal Family.
The monarch limited the Balcony Trooping The Color appearance to working members of her family, with the Duke of York and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex absent.
Although they won’t be on the balcony, Harry, Meghan and their children will be attending the celebrations, but it’s unclear which elements of the Four Day Jubilee weekend they might make an appearance at.
The Prince of Wales, Duchess of Cornwall, Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Earl and Countess of Wessex, Princess Royal, Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, Duke of Kent, Princess Alexandra and Deputy Admiral Sir Tim Laurence.
Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis and the Wessex children Lady Louise Windsor and James, Viscount Severn will also be present for the historic occasion.
