Maren Morris Defends Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Against ‘Hate’

When it comes to the royal family, Maren Morris can circle around this topic.

As the country singer recently explained, she’s long had a fascination with the British monarchy, which is why she’s naturally considering watching Meghan Markle and Prince Harrythe new Netflix docu-series, Harry and Meghan. But when it comes to critics of their show, Maren has already come to their defense.

“This deep hatred and annoyance towards Meghan Markle in particular, coming mostly from women, I must say, is unfathomable to me,” she said in a December 10 TikTok. “Since people say, ‘A woman should never take a man away from her family. That’s all it is. Uh, have you seen this family? ‘”

The ‘Craving You’ singer went on to note that Meghan isn’t the only one who has faced public scrutiny as a member of the royal family, citing both Princess Marguerite and Harry’s late mother, princess dianaas examples.
