Manchester United v Chelsea player ratings: Classy Casemiro seals Champions League return

Erik ten Hag’s secured their place in the Premier League top four with first-half goals from Casemiro and Anthony Martial before Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford scored after the break.
Although it has always been unlikely that Liverpool will be able to catch them on the final day, the three points are enough to send United back into Europe’s elite club competition.
here’s how Man Utd rated players.
David De Gea – 7
Made a number of good saves at 2-0 despite not having much else to do. Little on Joao Felix’s late consolation.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka -7
Allowed Lewis Hall to get behind to create a few early chances but recovered well.
Raphael Varane – 7
Performed well when called. It’s overflowing with class.
Victor Lindelof – 7
Recovered from an early slip to put in a composed performance against a very weak Chelsea attack.
Luke Shaw – 6
Barely in top form but his retirement at half-time may explain this.
Casemiro – 8
Scored the crucial opener and helped kick off the second with an assist to split the Chelsea defence. It would be nice if the Brazilian had such a positive evening.
Christian Eriksen – 7
Composed as always and was the man who played in the cross for Casemiro’s opener.
Anthony – 6
Rolled up a wide shot before being substituted too early to make a big impact elsewhere.
Bruno Fernandes – 7
Unlucky to hit the bar in the early stages of the second half and win the penalty which he scored with marvelous skill.

The best remains to be seen from the player who thrilled Borussia Dortmund but registering an assist is a positive.
Antoine Martial – 6
I got on the scoresheet but did very little else.
Substitutes:
Marcus Rashford (for Anthony ’29) – 7
Gave the Chelsea defense something to think about before they even scored, even though the goal was a total giveaway.
Tyrell Malacia (for Shaw ’45) – 6
Didn’t have much to do as Chelsea crumbled in the second half.
Alejandro Garnacho (for Martial ’70) – 6
A willing runner at the break but the first touch and the final ball let him down.
Fred (for Eriksen ’70) – 6
Didn’t make a mistake during his late cameo.
Scott McTominay (for Fernandes ’85)
