Man Utd set for Hirving Lozano transfer battle with Bayern Munich, RB Leipzig and Everton all keen on Napoli star

MANCHESTER UNITED are set to face fierce competition in the battle to sign Hirving Lozano from Napoli, according to reports.

Boss Erik ten Hag is eager to strengthen his forward line in the upcoming transfer windows, with Lozano fitting the bill.

Napoli could resign themselves to losing the Mexican ace, whose contract expires in 2024.

According to Marca, there is a lot of interest in him.

They claim that if Thomas Tuchel lands the Bayern Munich job in place of under-fire Julian Nagelsmann, the former Chelsea boss would be keen to bring in Lozano.

Bayern are fifth in the Bundesliga table, having won just three of their first seven games.

RB Leipzig could be looking to eye their league rivals in the race to secure the 27-year-old’s signature.

While Everton are another team believed to be enthusiastic.

With Lozano entering the final two years of his contract, Napoli are expected to demand around £27million for his services.

And a bidding war would suit them just fine.

Lozano joined Napoli from PSV Eindhoven in 2019.

He has played in six of his side’s seven Serie A appearances so far this season, failing to score and registering just one assist.

The 5ft 9in wide man was dropped for his last league encounter against AC Milan, being left on the bench for the duration of the match.

Lozano came on as a substitute in Napoli’s 4-1 defeat to Liverpool in the Champions League but missed his subsequent trip to Rangers through illness.

In total, he made 121 appearances for the Italian side, scoring 26 goals and providing 14 assists.
