Now a new report from Italy has claimed he and United are among a host of teams chasing striker Moukoko.

The 17-year-old burst onto the scene a year ago with the Bundesliga giants.

He made his debut a day after turning 16, and he went on to make another 45 appearances for Dortmund.

During that time he netted seven times, and now it looks like his exploits have caught the attention of a number of European big guns.

Moukoko is only contracted with Dortmund until June 2023 and hasn’t agreed to an extension yet.

Now Calcio Mercato say United are tracking the striker as he considers a summer move.

However, Ten Hag faces fierce competition to sign the teenage star.

Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and PSG are also all said to be keen.

Moukoko received a senior call-up after scoring 141 goals in just 88 appearances for the club’s youth team.

This quickly earned him recognition at international level, and he has now found the net six times in five outings for the Germany Under-21 side.

He first started at rivals St Pauli before moving to Dortmund in 2016.
