Man United players must ‘focus on looking united on the pitch’ if they are to dismiss dressing room rift rumors

If Manchester United players want to prove there is no loophole in the dressing room, they need to speak on the pitch, says talkSPORT host Simon Jordan.

Ralf Rangnick’s side have been the subject of a number of refuted reports over club issues.

Stories first emerged about Rangnick’s assistant, Armas

And then the captaincy of the club

Club legend Gary Neville has claimed he knows who was responsible for a story that has emerged saying players refer to Rangnick’s American assistant Chris Armas as Ted Lasso in reference to comic football coach.

Other stories have emerged of a rift between Cristiano Ronaldo and Marcus Rashford, as well as a report that Ragnick is considering giving Harry Maguire’s captaincy armband to Ronaldo.

All stories have been denied by the club and the players involved, but Jordan believes the easiest way to prove the reports wrong is to perform on the pitch.

“What they need to do is focus on looking united on the pitch,” he said.

“We had Marcus Rashford say something similar about the divisive nature of some of the stories that are coming out. We’ve heard some things coming out of that locker room over and over.

“We have spoken to the upper echelons of management at Manchester United who have denied there is any toxicity in the dressing room, but we see the current manager talking about the player’s dispositions, his thinking and his feelings.

Rangnick discussed the controversy but it won’t go away

“The players have to do one thing, be consistent and look like Manchester United on the pitch, the rest is for the birds.

“We don’t need to hear people refute other people’s observations, you only give it credibility if you actually acknowledge it, if it’s not true it’s just background noise.

“Get on the pitch, look cohesive, look like a unit, look like you’re together, and the rest will take care of itself.”
