Man hates puppies and gets slammed on Reddit for insulting dog owner in dramatic park incident
A Reddit poster doesn’t exactly win friends or influence people.
Writing on the subreddit known as AITA (“Am I the a—–e”), a man with the username “Other_Computer_7702” asked for others’ opinions after a dramatic encounter in a park involving her infant son and a group of aggressive, raging puppies owned by a stranger.
He prefaced his post by saying, “I hate dogs. I can’t stand them. I think they’re disgusting, I avoid them, I do everything I can not to have them in my life.”

That said, he went on to describe what happened “at the neighborhood park.”
He said he and his wife were there with their six-month-old son, he said.
“The best kid in the whole world,” he wrote.
The three of them “were having a picnic” and things were “going well,” the man wrote.
He said their “baby [was] on a big blanket and have the time of your life to roll around, play, laugh. He [was] nice to see him so happy.”
That’s when things apparently went wrong.
“The next thing I know is there’s a pair of puppies coming right at us. They’re unleashed.”
The man wrote: “Next thing I know there’s a pair of puppies coming right at us. They’re loose and their owner is just standing in the way watching them run towards us .”

The man on Reddit wrote that he “didn’t notice [the dogs] until they’re pretty much on our cover. At that moment, I picked up my son and shouted “WTF” at the guy. He looked appalled that I didn’t appreciate the stunt” he and “his dogs pulled,” the man added in his Reddit post.
The Redditor continued, “My wife is yelling at her, I’m yelling at her. I immediately [said]’I hate your dogs, can you have them?'”
The man said “the stranger’s puppies are just sitting on our blanket expecting to be petted. I start walking towards the guy and yell at him to grab his dogs.”
The Reddit poster continued, “He’s starting to get mad at us. He says they’re friendly and they just wanted to play, they won’t hurt anyone. [But] I tell him he just ruined our lunch.”

The Redditor added that the man tried to excuse “his behavior and that of the dogs by saying they were puppies”.
“He finally grabbed his two dogs and was like, ‘Who doesn’t like puppies?'”
However, the Redditor wrote, “I don’t care. I just want[ed] he and his dogs are gone.”
He said he “insulted” the man “continuously”.
The man apparently told the Redditor to “calm down” – but he couldn’t.
“I keep swearing,” the Redditor wrote, “and he finally grabs his two dogs and is like, ‘Who doesn’t like puppies?'”
Apparently, the man “finally” left, but “he ruined our lunch”.
REDDIT’S POST ABOUT GROWING UP KIDS REVEALS PARENTS’ BIGGEST REGRETS – AND IT’S NOT WHAT YOU THINK
Wrote the Redditor, “In hindsight, I may have been too aggressive with him.” He then asked the others what they thought of what had happened.
He did not share where the incident happened or anything else about the dog’s owner.
Fox News Digital reached out to a New York-based psychologist for insight into the incident.
On Reddit, many people gave their opinion.
“You had the overreaction of the century.”
Nearly 6,000 people reacted to the post; some 3,000 comments poured in.
One commenter wrote that the dogs’ owner ‘shouldn’t have let his dogs run off leash in a dog-free park’ – but then addressed the original Reddit poster with an unrestricted comment.
“You had the overreaction of the century by ‘telling her straight up you hate her dog’ and continually swearing, especially next to your child,” one person wrote.

Someone else wrote bluntly: “Actually I hate kids for the most part. I’ve never yelled at a parent when their loose toddler waddled up to me and tried to talk. I just said, ‘Goodbye’, I walked away…and that’s even offensive to most parents.”
This particular commenter added, “I can’t imagine what the reaction would be if I grabbed my purse and ran yelling at the parent to control his brat because ‘I HATE YOUR CHILD!'”

Another person shared a different point of view. “I love all animals, but unrestrained, unrestrained puppies rushing at a picnic with a 6-month-old baby is a recipe for disaster.”
Wrote someone else, “It’s the keep on swearing and carrying[ing] on and scream[ing]”I hate your dogs”, that’s the problem.”
Someone else said of the original poster, “Guy looks a bit irrational and immature.”
