Porto vs Atletico Madrid didn’t disappoint as they saw three red cards, four goals, one scuffle as the LaLiga champions advanced to the round of 16 with a 3-1 victory.
Diego Simeone’s side join Liverpool for the next round of the competition despite starting the day at the bottom of the group.

Atletico made it difficult, but ultimately got the job done
Considering the match had so many mishaps it could be called a crazy match, but when Simeone is involved it seems like just another match.
Either way, the Argentine would have been delighted to see his side progress to the round of 16, especially after losing star striker Luis Suarez to injury.
The former Liverpool forward was sent off in the 13th minute of the game which then reduced him to tears.
Suarez, however, was smiling full-time after posting a tweet celebrating his team’s victory.

The attacker was inconsolable
In a low-key first half, the game came to life in the second half when Antoine Griezmann scored from close range after Porto failed to clear a corner.
Then chaos fell. Atletico winger Yannick Carrasco was sent off in the 67th minute, and then Porto Wendell left-back was also given a red card three minutes later.
Wendell’s red card then sparked a mass brawl on the bench which also saw Porto substitute keeper Agustin Marchesin sent off.
Atletico ended the game with goals in added time from Angel Correa and Rodrigo de Paul before Sergio Oliveira scored a consolation on the spot to secure qualification for the round of 16.
