Warm-ups are underway!
The atmosphere at Anfield is building long before kick-off.
What can we expect from this man tonight?
A fifth start in six games for Harvey Elliott, in which he scored two goals.
The 19-year-old has become one of Jurgen Klopp’s trusted midfielders after injuries helped open up his opportunity.
Is a shot against England’s World Cup squad within reach?
Anfield in top form before kick-off!
We are half an hour from the players who come out on this hallowed turf.
Marsch wants to ‘seize the moment’
Jesse Marsch is currently leading the bookmakers’ odds on the next Premier League boss to lose his job.
Without a league win since August, will that change tonight?
“We keep finding ways to lose,” Marsch said.
“Every game has been in the balance, but when the players’ stress level is high, their attention span is not. And when we have the breaks, we don’t seize the moment.
Klopp expects Leeds response
Jesse Marsch is fighting for his position and Jurgen Klopp is not expecting an easy game tonight against American side Leeds.
“When we talk about our situation, how can we improve it, it seems like we just have to play better and then – ah, there’s always an opponent,” the Liverpool boss said.
“And Leeds really go for it, Leeds are super lively, super aggressive. I think Jesse in Salzburg, Leipzig had a lot of press, stuff like that.
“Now there’s a lot of press in midfield, make the spaces really small, go for counter-attacks, a lot of very good players, talented players.”
Three changes for Leeds
Luis Sinisterra is missing for Leeds tonight as Tyler Adams, Liam Cooper and Rodrigo Moreno take late fitness tests.
Crysencio Summerville starts on the flank with Luke Ayling replaced by Rasmus Kristensen and Adams for Sam Greenwood.
Good news for Liverpool as Thiago Alcantara, as expected, is part of Jurgen Klopp’s roster.
The Spaniard is the only change from the win at Ajax, replacing Jordan Henderson who is on the bench after a knee injury.
