LeBron James hits out at NBA in tweeting tirade amid glut of star player playoff injuries

LeBron James is very angry with the NBA.

The Lakers star took to Twitter in an elite ‘I told you’ moment, cursing the league and apparently accusing the Association of a myriad of injuries that plagued star players in the playoffs of the NBA 2021.

James blames the league for the injury epidemic, saying the problems are due to a lack of “rim rest” between the end of last season and the current one.

James’ tirade in its entirety:

They didn’t all want to listen to me at the start of the season. I knew exactly what was going to happen. I just wanted to protect the welfare of the players which is ultimately the PRODUCT AND ADVANTAGE OF OUR GAME! These injuries don’t just “BE PART OF THE GAME”. This is the lack of PURE RIM REST rest before restarting. 8, maybe 9 ALL-STARS missed playoff games (most in league history). It’s the best time of the year for our league and our fans, but a ton of our favorite players are missing. It’s crazy. If there is one person who knows the body and how it works all year round, it’s ME! I speak for the health of all of our players and I hate to see so many injuries this time of year. Sorry, fans would like you to see all of your favorite guys right now.

There has been a talented all-star team to hit the shelf this playoffs: Kyrie Irving, James Harden, Joel Embiid, Kawhi Leonard, Jamal Murray, Donovan Mitchell, Anthony Davis, Jaylen Brown and Mike Conley all missed time to varying degrees of injury.

The last offseason, James was very unhappy with the short time between the end of the NBA season and the start of the 2020-21 season, which was only 71 days between the last playoff game and the start of the season. next. Players wanted more time to rest, but the league was adamant that the season started around Christmas, one of the highest-rated days of the year.

Of course, 71 days off after a season interrupted by the coronavirus and therefore lengthened is not the best for elite athletes.

With the 2020 Olympics approaching and several NBA stars planning to participate, it will be interesting to see James’ response – and whether more players end up on the injured list – next year. James has already retired from racing for this year’s US team.

Until then, however, James just wants to let you know: he was right.
