Sean Long headed the only goal of the game in the 61st minute as Cheltenham put his Sky Bet League Two promotion hopes back on track with the victory for leaders Cambridge.

The Robins, third, were shocked at home by Bradford on Saturday but rebounded in style to close the gap to their opponents to just two points.

Fourth Morecambe clinched a spectacular 2-1 victory over his other promotion hopes Salford after scoring two goals in the stoppage time.

Brandon Thomas-Asante seemed to steer Salford to three points with his goal on the stroke of half-time, but Carlos Mendes Gomes equalized four minutes into extra time, and there was still time for Aaron Wildig to take the winner.

James Vaughan scored twice in fifth place Tranmere twice from behind to win 3-2 to Carlisle.
