Witnesses said they believed Wallace was not the intended target and another said they had more information but did not want to be called a snitch.
McDaniel was later identified as a suspect.
On July 17, 2023, an investigator found a YouTube video posted to “The Biggest Finn 4800” titled “Fadee Free.”
The lyrics included, “I’m the reason he died, we always taunt him when he dies, not the reason he died, so celebrate the reason his mama cries.”

Investigators said the lyrics, allegedly written by McDaniel, take credit for Wallace’s murder and contain information about the murder that has never been made public.
McDaniel is being held in Clark County Jail and is scheduled to appear in court Thursday.
