Lakers superstar LeBron James was kicked out of the team’s game against the Pistons after piercing Detroit’s Isaiah Stewart in the head with an elbow as the pair battled for a rebound in the third quarter of Sunday’s game.
James was hit with a flagrant foul and was later ejected following a video review.

It appears that James’s elbow and hand made contact with Stewart’s head. The second-year Pistons started to bleed, got angry and had to be restrained by several teammates and coaches to keep him separate from James.

James was escorted off the ground.

Stewart was also kicked out of the game and had to be guided to the team tunnel. The game resumed with 9:18 left in the third, and the Pistons held a 78-66 lead over Los Angeles.
The two teams will face off again next Sunday in Los Angeles.
