ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – As Christmas approaches, the Santa’s Helpers 2022 toy drive shifts from collecting donations to placing presents under the tree for bright-eyed kids to open on Christmas Day.
Each year, many local agencies do not receive aid to buy Christmas presents for children in the Grand Pays. To help give these kids a fun Christmas, KTAB has launched the Santa’s Helper Toy Drive. Children sent letters to Santa asking for clothes, shoes, arts and crafts, squishmallows and more.
Although December 9 is the last day to drop off donations, the toy drive isn’t over yet. The sorting, packing and transportation process has just begun.
This year, the Santa’s Helpers toy drive will benefit children served by these local nonprofits:
This year, Drive collected enough toys for hundreds of children served by these nonprofits to open their new toys for Christmas. The money raised will be used to buy even more toys to offer to the children of the Grand Pays.
This would not have been possible without the support of sponsors (Lawrence Hall Abilene, Quail Hallow, Junk Warehouse, Air-Tech, Low Law Firm and A-town Cleaners) and our KTAB Santa’s Helpers. Your contributions will help make local kids’ Christmas a little brighter this year.
