Juan De Paoli, Vice President of Our Brands at Kroger, explained that customers’ favorite foods change with the seasons.

“This year, we know customers are experiencing a continued inflationary environment.

“We continue to do everything we can to ensure our customers can create lasting food memories this fall with a growing and evolving portfolio of Our Brands products.”

As summer drew to a close, Paoli said customers were planning their favorite fall traditions such as football games and Halloween.

With the return of football, tailgating will become more popular and treats such as chips, soda, hot dogs, salsa and beer will fly off the shelves.

Even a few weeks away from Halloween, families are already planning how they will celebrate the hospital.

The day is one of the biggest cupcake selling times of the year, according to Kroger.

And, according to retail data, about 69% of Kroger customers planned to celebrate Halloween this year, with 33% choosing to stay home to hand out candy to cheaters.

Football and Halloween are two hallmarks of the fall season,” said Stuart Aitken, Chief Merchant and Chief Marketing Officer at Kroger.

“We’re ready for our customers – whether they’re building a world-class tailgating experience, decorating their homes for a spooky season, or snuggling up with their favorite fall treats and watching a movie.”

And for all the pumpkin spice lovers out there, Kroger has an incredible selection of treats and drinks ranging from eggnog to bundt cakes.

Meanwhile, Kroger is launching draft beer in stores and inviting shoppers to bring their growlers.

Plus, shoppers are only now realizing what’s hidden in the new Kroger logo – it should all make sense once you spot it.
