Kroger makes major shopping shift – customers can ‘mix and match’


SELECT Kroger stores are introducing new sections in their stores, and this will now provide more options for customers.

The few Krogers with these changes will have 10 new options for food purchases, allowing customers to mix and match their selections.

Kroger Introduces New Food Halls to Ohio Stores

Three Kroger stores in the Columbus, Ohio area will soon open food halls with a variety of options.

Kroger partners with Kitchen United.

The California company is behind the restaurants.

Customers will have the option to order from their favorite restaurant or mix and match items for pickup or delivery.

New Kroger feature will add many options for luxury food options

Each supermarket location will feature six or more restaurants from the list below.

1. Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop

Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop serves cold, grilled and vegetarian subs as well as cheesesteaks and salads.

Customers will be able to mix and match dishes from different restaurants.

2. Genghis Grill

At Genghis grill, people can create their own stir-fry bowl with over 80 fresh ingredients and tasty sauces.

Orders may be picked up or delivered via digital kiosks, the Mix Food Hall app or other third-party delivery platforms.

3. Fuku

Fuku offers a variety of fried chicken options and sides inspired by Asian American David Chang.

4. Hardee’s

Hardee’s is known for its Black Angus Thickburgers.

5. Nathan is famous

Nathan’s Famous is an American tradition serving New York favorites like hot dogs, hamburgers, milkshakes and fries.

6. Nekter Juice Bar

Who doesn’t love refreshing juices?

Nekter Juice Bar makes juices, smoothies, acai bowls without processed ingredients or artificial flavors.

7. Pei Wei Asian Cuisine

Pei Wei Asian Kitchen is an Asian-inspired restaurant with artisan dishes on the menu.

The restaurant offers fresh house-cut vegetables with whole cuts of white meat chicken.

They also have grass fed steak with rice, noodles or salad.

8. Salad bars

Anyone can make a salad or a panini from time to time.

Saladworks allows customers to create their own salad with 60 fresh ingredient options.

It’s fresh all day and you have the option of customizing it to warm up bowls or grain wraps.

9. Wing area

Wing Zone offers wings in 18 different flavors.

They have four flavor sections – buffalo, sweet and spicy, sweet without heat, and dry rub.

In the Buffalo section, there are flavors like Tame, Louisiana Lemon Pepper, Garlic Parm, Buffalo Bliss, HotShot, Ragin’ Cajun, and Nuclear Habanero.

In the Sweet & Spicy section – Chipotle BBQ, Buffalo Ranch, Thai Chili, Smokin Q and Mango Fire.

In the Sweet No Heat section – Liquid Gold, Honey Q and Sweet Samurai.

Finally, Dry Rub contains Lemon Pepper, Cool Ranch and Blackened VooDoo.

10. Wow Bao

Wow Bao is another Asian-inspired restaurant that sells street food.

This includes foods like bao, pan-fried potstickers, steamed dumplings, and rice bowls.

Which Kroger will carry the restaurants

The Kroger located in Gahanna, Ohio will have Nathan’s Famous, Genghis Grill, Wow-Bao, Nekter Juice Bar, Fuku Fried Chicken and Saladworks.

The Dublin location will include Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop, Wing Zone, Pei Wei Asian Kitchen, Nathan’s Famous, Nekter Juice Bar and Fuku Fried Chicken.

The latest location in Clintonville will feature Hardee’s, Pei Wei Asian Kitchen, Wow-Bao, Nekter Juice, Saladworks and Fuku Fried Chicken.

The Gahanna food hall will open on November 7, while the other two stores will open at the end of the month.
