Katharine McPhee and her husband David Foster announced that there had been “a horrible tragedy” in their family, prompting them to rush home from Asia.

McPhee was forced to pull out of their last two shows in Jakarta, Indonesia, following the emergency that forces “at least one” of them to return home immediately.

“Dear Jakarta fans, it is with a heavy heart that I announce that I have to miss our last two shows of our Asia run,” McPhee wrote in a statement on Instagram Friday morning.

“David and I have had a horrible tragedy in our family and at least one of us needs to go home to his family.”

The singer, 39, has performed in Asia alongside her 16-time Grammy Award-winning husband, who is 34 years her senior.

“Please know how sorry I am and how much I want to come back one day and play for all of you. I love Katharine,” her message concluded.

While it’s unclear exactly what happened, fans and celebrities alike rushed to the comments section to send their best wishes to the couple.

“Sending my love and prayers for your family❤️,” Nicole Scherzinger wrote.

McPhee shared a statement on his Instagram account on Friday morning.

Foster’s ex-wife Linda Thompson added: “Sending love to you and David and hope all is well.”

Shortly after, McPhee disabled comments on the post.

It looks like Foster will still take the stage on Friday and Saturday, suggesting that McPhee will go home alone.

Foster will be joined by Michael Bolton, Loren Allred, Peabo Bryson and Raisa, in Jakarta as part of his “David Foster and Friends” tour.

Page Six has reached out to reps for McPhee and Foster for comment.

McPhee and Foster, 73, who have been married since 2019, share one-year-old son Rennie – but McPhee recently revealed she wouldn’t mind expanding their brood.

The music producer also has five adult daughters from previous relationships: Allison, 52, Amy, 49, Sara, 41, Erin, 40, and Jordan, 36.

Foster has been open about not regretting welcoming a sixth child later in life.

“I loved every day,” the Canadian musician said in October 2022.

“It’s the standard thing like, ‘Oh, well, you were so young when you had your kids, and you were working day and night, you never saw them.’ And there’s some truth in that, unfortunately, for my (older) kids. I was just working a lot. Even though I’m working a lot now, I’ll cancel anything just to hang out with him. It’s just different. .
