Juvenile killed during hay drive in Jackson County |  New


JACKSON COUNTY, MO (KCTV) — A miner was killed during a hay drive on Saturday night in Jackson County.

Jackson County Sheriff Darryl Forte said the incident occurred in the 13000 block of Pratt Road, which is an unincorporated area in Jackson County, at around 7.40 a.m. on Saturday night.

According to accident reports, a seven-year-old boy was hanging onto the trailer when he fell and was struck by the trailer. He was transported to Lee’s Summit Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased.

The names of the minors were not disclosed.
