Meet June, a new startup who wants to make it easy to build analytics dashboards and generate reports, even if you’re not an expert in product analytics. June is built on top of your segment data. Like many no-code startups, it uses templates and a GUI so that non-technical profiles can start using it.
“What we’re doing today is instant analytics and that’s why we’re building it on top of Segment,” co-founder and CEO Enzo Avigo told me. “It allows you to access data much faster. “
Segment serves as a data collection and data repository for your analyzes. After that, you can start playing with your data in June. Ultimately, June plans to diversify her data sources.
“Our long-term vision is to become the Airtable of analytics,” said Avigo.
If you are familiar with Airtable, June may sound familiar to you. The company has created a template library to help you get started. For example, June helps you track user retention, active users, your acquisition funnel, engagement, feature usage, and more.
Once you have chosen a model, you can begin to create a report by matching the data sources with the models. June automatically generates charts, sorts your user base into cohorts, and shows you important metrics. You can create goals to get alerts in Slack whenever something good or bad happens.
Advanced users can also use June so everyone on the team uses the same tool. They can create custom SQL queries and build a model based on those queries.
The company raised a $ 1.85 million funding round led by Point Nine. Y Combinator, Speedinvest, Kima Ventures, eFounders and Base Case also participated, as well as several business angels.
Before June, the two co-founders of the startup worked for Intercom. They noticed that the scan tool was too difficult for many people to use. They did not rely on analysis to make informed decisions.
Hundreds of businesses use the month of June every week and that number is growing by 10% per week. Right now, the product is free, but the company plans to charge based on usage.
