“She was an amazing mom, grandmother, friend and dedicated animal advocate, caring for all of God’s creatures with all her heart,” daughter-in-law Susan Nelson told Fox News Digital yesterday.

“The family thanks her wonderful and dedicated fans. She treasured them.”

Blair began her career as a model for Playboy, winning Playmate of the Month in January 1957.

The exposure gained through modeling led to her first acting role in the film noir Hell Bound which starred John Russell.

After securing several key film roles, the actress married fellow countryman David Nelson in 1961.

The two were known for their appearances on the family comedy television series The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet – one of the longest-running shows which first aired in 1952.

Blair had played several different characters in 1960, but she got a recurring role with her new husband in the show’s 10th season.

She was featured as Mrs. June Nelson in an episode aptly titled The Newlyweds Get Settled which aired on October 12, 1961.
