José Mourinho wants to return to Chelsea
Roma boss Mourinho wants to return to London, where his wife and children still live, reports the Daily Mail.
And his representatives have been in touch with Chelsea and have said his preferred scenario would be returning to the west London side for the third time in his career.
Under the Portuguese coach, the Blues won three Premier League titles in two spells, as well as three League Cups and an FA Cup.
However, despite being the club’s most successful manager, he was sacked both times in acrimonious circumstances with reports that he fell out with players and board members.
Mourinho also damaged his reputation with Chelsea supporters when he agreed to become manager of Manchester United and then Tottenham, two of the club’s biggest rivals.
Nonetheless, the 60-year-old is keen to return to London to be closer to his family as he has also become frustrated at Roma due to his reluctance to spend big on players.

The Italian side currently sit fifth in Serie A but seem unable to break that cap and earn a Champions League place.
But Chelsea owner Todd Boehly has stuck with Potter at the club in a difficult season where the Blues languish in 10th place in the Premier League.
The US billionaire, who bought the club from Roman Abramovich last year, spent more than £500m on transfers over two windows, including Wesley Fofana, Raheem Sterling and Mykhailo Mudryk.
Mourinho wants to be back competing for the biggest prizes and thinks he could do so with Boehly’s free-spending attitude.
Potter still has Boehly’s backing
And he doesn’t think that’s possible with Roma, despite lifting the first-ever Europa Conference League trophy last season after beating Feyenoord in the final.
It remains to be seen whether Mourinho would consider joining another London club with the doors of Stamford Bridge slammed shut while David Moyes continues to fight for his job at West Ham.
The Hammers have previously been linked with the former Real Madrid manager, while a return to Tottenham, where Antonio Conte is out of contract at the end of the season, would be extremely unlikely.
