Joint police operation leads to 14 arrests including 7 children, officials say


Local law enforcement has 14 people behind bars after a joint operation.

On July 29, the Memphis Police Department Auto Theft Task Force (ATTF), Bartlett Police Department Crime Suppression Unit (CSU), Memphis Police Department TACT Unit , the Austin Peay Station Task Force and the Appling Farms Station Task Force conducted a day-long joint operation to suppress the crime.

The operation resulted in 14 felony arrests, four stolen vehicles recovered and five handguns recovered, police said.

According to the police, seven adults and seven minors were arrested. The oldest adult was 36 and the youngest was 10.

ADULTS:

  • Dcobi Lane, 24: theft of property between $1,000 and $2,500 with a handgun, a felon convicted of possession of a handgun, driving with a Sus/Can/Rev license, violation of vehicle registration vehicle

  • Anton Dickerson, 36: possession of a controlled substance, namely marijuana, warrant – aggravated assault

  • Jordan Conard, 18: Theft of property $10,000 to $60,000 including auto theft, tampering with serial numbers, manufacturing/tampering with proof of firearms, unlawful possession of a weapon (2 counts of charge), evading arrest (foot pursuit)

  • Marcus Jones, 18: theft of property $10,000 to $60,000, including auto theft, evading arrest (foot chase), reckless driving

  • Robert Gray, 20: $10,000 to $60,000 property theft with car theft

  • Brandon Colliers, 24: $10,000 to $60,000 property theft with car theft

  • Davidyon Smith, 19: $10,000 to $60,000 property theft with car theft

CHILDREN:

  • 14-year-old boy: $10,000 to $60,000 property theft with car theft

  • 10-year-old boy: $10,000 to $60,000 property theft with car theft

  • 13-year-old boy: $10,000 to $60,000 property theft with car theft

  • 16-year-old boy: $10,000 to $60,000 property theft with car theft

  • 15-year-old boy: $10,000 to $60,000 property theft with car theft

  • 14-year-old boy: $10,000 to $60,000 property theft with car theft

  • 15-year-old boy: $10,000 to $60,000 property theft with car theft
