Johnson & Johnson agreed to spend about $230 million to take care of statements it served gasoline an opioid disaster in New York, the state’s attorney general explained on Saturday.
The agreement addresses promises introduced by Legal professional Typical Letitia James, and will remove Johnson & Johnson as a defendant in a broader trial more than opioids scheduled to get started upcoming 7 days.
J&J did not admit legal responsibility or wrongdoing in agreeing to settle. It reported the settlement was constant with its prior agreement to pay back $5 billion to settle opioid promises by states, metropolitan areas, counties and tribal governments nationwide.
